It is free

BellOnQR is free for households and there is no paid tier today. If that ever changes, the bell itself stays free — we will not take away something you have already put on your door.

What we do not promise

This is a doorbell that depends on two internet connections, a phone that is switched on, and notification services we do not control. It will sometimes not ring. Do not rely on it for anything urgent, medical or safety-critical, and do not remove your existing doorbell because of it.

It is not a security system and not a surveillance camera. It records nothing by itself.

Using it fairly

Put a plate only on a door you are entitled to put one on.
Do not use it to harass anyone, and do not misuse the urgent override. Every use of it is logged and shown to the household.
Households are responsible for what they write in their standing messages and replies.

Stopping

Delete your household in the app and everything is removed. Revoke a plate and the printed code stops working immediately — worth doing if a plate is ever tampered with.
